We've been learning to use personification and to 'Show Not Tell' in our writing. Here are some examples of our work. Titled 'The Beach'.
The waves were calling me and the waves were calling me, and the hands of the sand were dragging me towards the rolling waves. The pink bellied dolphins were flying through the air, and the blue-black muscle covered whales were spraying jets of mist into the air . The wind howled in my ears and the sand bit into my flesh but I took no notice as I was pulled into the ocean.

The window wipers walking on the window, as the engine screams down the road, fading until the street goes silent.

The bright gold sand pushes me towards the howling waves as the wind echoes across the sea.
- Alicia Elliot
The golden sand scorched my feet, screaming caution at the dangerous waters below. The feet of the crab scurried it away from the mouth of the hungry seagull. The waves crashed, in a war of dominance, each crash growing louder and louder. Shells crunched under my feet, crying out in pain.
